Dear GPENreformation friends,
It is with great pleasure that I have joined the GPEN team at the office of the Evangelical Church in Germany last month. I am stepping in for Annika Kastner who is now on parental leave. The part time job that I have taken over from her deals with advising the German protestant schools. But supporting and servicing GPEN, together with Hendrik and Kerstin, is also part of this job.
As some of you may remember, I have been very much involved in the first years of GPEN when I was the head of the Dutch umbrella organisation of Christian schools, called Verus. And it is wonderful to see how GPEN has evolved and flourished over the past years. It is also lovely to meet again many old friends, as well as to see a great number of new faces of those who have joined the network since I left.
After leaving Verus at the end of 2017, I have been living and working in the United Kingdom to study theology and to serve my curacy in the Church of England. I was first ordained as a deacon and in 2021 as a priest. Since the beginning of this year, I am serving the Anglican chaplaincy in the cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen in the Netherlands as a pastor.
I am very much looking forward to working together with you in the coming year and to see how we can further develop and strengthen our GPENreformation network!
