Due to the spread of the corona virus, the UEM (United Evangelical Mission) is forced to cancel educational events in the first half of 2020. The seminars of the North-South and South-North Volunteer Programme are particularly affected at short notice. The young adults, who were supposed to finish their voluntary year in Germany in March, are forced to return spontaneously to their home countries. This also means that the corresponding final seminars, which were intended to serve as a reflection of the year, are cancelled.
GPENdialogue offers the UEM an opportunity to convert the contents of the seminar into e-learning formats and to be in constant exchange with the participants. The online course will initially be used mainly to assist former volunteers during the quarantine period. They should be encouraged to use their resources in the quarantine as much as possible.
