Tuesday March 21, 2023, Prof. Dr. Annette Scheunpflug from the University of Bamberg in Germany and member of the Board of GPENreformation (Team) visited the Protestant Council of Rwanda (CPR). She was accompanied by Prof. Dr. Astrid, a didactic pedagogue. The two were passing through Kigali in Rwanda before heading to Huye in the south of the country to the Protestant Institute of Arts and Social Sciences (PIASS). They went to PIASS to teach students from the IMPEQ (International Master Program for Educational Quality). Prof. Dr. Annette Scheunpflug knows the CPR well because it was she, along with Dr. Suzanne Krugull, who carried out the scientific evaluation of the teacher training project in active and participatory pedagogy (PAP). It was exactly in 2010.

After their meeting with the Secretary General of the CPR, Rev. Dr. Samuel Rugambage, the two visitors met with the Education Department staff at the CPR. During this meeting, the staff of this department briefed them on the various activities of four ongoing projects. These projects are:

  1. ReDiCo project (Resilience of Educational Institutions through Digitalization- a reaction to Covid -19
  2. GPENreformation project
  3. Church Staff Capacity Building Project (Scholarship Project)
  4. Peace Education Project

As part of the exchanges recommended by GPENreformation, the two visitors gave their constructive advice to the staff of the Education Department of the CPR. They insisted on the exchange of experiences with other partners in education and the capitalization of these experiences.
