Construction and preparation

It finally happened on June 19: The GPENreformation-Team got the keys to the former Karl-Marx-School in Wittenberg, which became our home for the next 10 days. The biggest struggle: Finding our ways in this huge and confusing building! Thanks to our great volunteers, who made any orientation possible by drawing and positioning signposts all around the accommodation.

Further tasks we had to accomplish were the setting up of the team-office, the furnishing of the dining room and the entrance area and the equipping of the participants’ folders. Bianca and Evi were our ‘team drivers’; they spent hours over hours in the car picking up bed linen, balloon gas, ‘Kirchentagshocker’ and masses of materials from the talents tent and different shops all around Wittenberg.

Gladly, the weather was good and we received a recommendation about the best pizza deliverer in town…
