The Evangelical College Alberto Torres was founded on January 15th, 1892 on the initiative of a group of families of the Evangelical Community of Lajeado. His first name was Evangelical Parish School, then moving to be called College Lajeadense. It is known for the Evangelical College Alberto Torres since 1941, in honor of the Brazilian intellectual Alberto Martins Torres de Seixas (1856-1917).
It is a community school, the Lutheran confession, whose foundation gave up on pillars as the Christian faith, science knowledge, labor discipline, organization, valuing human life and culture.
The CEAT has headquarters in Paved / RS, receiving students from across the region Taquari Valley. It is an integral of Network Synod of Education and supported by the Evangelical Lutheran Confession in Lajeado.
